Robsys Robotic Systems Introduces SPP Control, a New-Generation AI-Powered Monitoring and Management Software to Eliminate Energy Loss in Solar Power Plants (SPPs)

Robsys Robotic Systems, a developer of efficiency and performance technologies for Solar Power Plants (SPPs), introduced its new-generation monitoring and management software, SPP Control, at the EIF Fair. SPP Control offers a radical solution to the efficiency losses encountered in SPPs.

With the AI-supported SPP Control, which aims to reduce energy losses to zero, Robsys has initiated a new era in SPP management. Robsys SPP Control aims to accelerate the Return on Investment (ROI) by offering a fundamental solution to all challenges that threaten profitability in SPPs, such as common efficiency losses, lack of detailed monitoring, high operational costs, and financial risks.

Zero Loss in SPPs: AI-Powered Instant Action

Robsys General Manager Turgut Çağatay stated that SPP Control directly addresses real field problems. He said, “With its detailed analysis chain that descends to the string and MPPT level from the plant, SPP Control answers not only the question of ‘How much energy was produced?’ but also ‘How much should have been produced?’. This way, the system sends instant alerts with data updated every 5 minutes and automatically detects faults without the need for visual inspection”.

Çağatay emphasized that the AI-powered software solution does not only report the problem but also directs solution suggestions and digital work orders to the relevant personnel based on the principle of “Correct Intervention, Correct Time”.

From Management to Technician: Understandable Reporting for Everyone

SPP Control offers a user-friendly interface, eliminating dependence on technical knowledge. The AI-powered system classifies and visualizes reports clearly. Financial data is presented for the management level from the perspective of “What did I gain, what did I lose?” , while performance details are provided for the technical team. Acting as a “Single Center for Financial Transparency,” it manages settlement and reactive risks, and secures investors’ investments by offering “accelerated ROI and efficiency assurance”.

Sustainability-Focused Zero Loss Management

SPP Control prioritizes not only financial efficiency but also contributing to the sustainability goals of both Turkey and the world. It provides indirect carbon reduction by eliminating energy losses and makes the amount of avoided CO₂ visible. Thus, investors can transparently monitor both their profits and their environmental impacts.

Technological Infrastructure and Ease of Management

Thanks to its cloud-based SaaS architecture, SPP Control offers easy access without the need for installation, taking SPP operations beyond mere monitoring.

Full Marks from Fair Visitors

SPP Control attracted great interest throughout the EIF Fair and received full marks from industry stakeholders. Robsys continues its efforts to expand the software’s use in international markets as well as in Turkey.

Robsys expands in Europe with solar power plant cleaning robots

Robsys expands in Europe with solar power plant cleaning robots

Robsys Board Member Tuğrul Çağatay, explaining that they export to more than 20 countries, said, “Our goal is to be a global market leader.”

It was noted that Robsys exports to more than 20 countries worldwide, has established a dealership network in European countries such as Germany, France, and Italy, and has increased its influence in the European market by opening its own branch in Germany.

Çağatay noted that they filled a gap in the Solar Power Plant (SPP) sector by producing the first domestically produced cleaning robot, at a time when the sector was still nascent in Turkey. He said, “We established Turkey’s first R&D center in this field and made our first export. We grew alongside the sector.”

Tuğrul Çağatay emphasized that panel cleaning in SPPs significantly impacts the return on investment (ROI) time, saying, “Cleaning benefits not only the panel but also the investor. Uncleaned panels can double or even triple the ROI. They can even lead to significant risks like fire.” Robsys is reinforcing its technological leadership in the industry not only with products but also with digital solutions. Çağatay stated that they have reached the final stages of their years-long R&D work on artificial intelligence-assisted fault detection, saying, “Demo versions are being released this year. Users will be able to see contamination and faults on the panel with a mobile app. They will be able to analyze system failures from a sitting position. An AI-powered cleaning robot that can move autonomously and change direction by detecting obstacles is in the testing phase.”

Global vision: Global leadership
Çağatay noted that more than half of the company’s more than 60 employees are engineers, and that this infrastructure is a significant strength for its global goals. He said, “We have also expanded into the American market. Everywhere we go, we first establish a technical service infrastructure. We reach anywhere in the world within three days. In Turkey, this timeframe is 48 hours.” Çağatay stated that Robsys’s goal is to become a global market leader. Noting that solar panels have a 30-year production warranty, Çağatay emphasized the necessity of regular cleaning of these panels. “Some power plants require monthly cleaning. This requires significant time and resource planning. We are developing technologies to manage these processes as efficiently as possible,” he said.

Robsys is also showcasing its new technologies at the Gogreen Fair, which will continue in Bursa until May 10th.

Energy efficiency will increase with Robsys cleaning robots at Kalyon Karapınar Solar Power Plant

Robsys Robotic Systems’ environmentally friendly solar panel cleaning robots, which work without using water, were put into operation at the Kalyon Karapınar Solar Power Plant. This project, which is Türkiye and Europe’s largest and one of the few largest solar power plants in the world, will significantly contribute to efficiency and sustainability targets thanks to Robsys technology.

Robsys Robotic Systems, which has been operating for more than 15 years to save energy, reduce cleaning costs and increase occupational safety, continues its efforts to improve energy efficiency and ensure sustainability in solar power plants.

Robsys solar panel cleaning robots will increase energy efficiency in Kalyon Karapınar

At Kalyon Karapınar Solar Power Plant, which is the largest solar power plant in Europe and one of the few largest solar power plants in the world, Robsys’ water-free panel cleaning robots were put into operation to take energy efficiency and sustainable use of natural resources one step further.

Robsys solar panel cleaning robots, which are preferred to reduce energy losses due to dustiness by taking into account the water sensitivity of the region, will increase energy efficiency and contribute to the protection of water resources.

‘’We continue for a greener world.”

Underlining that they aim for higher efficiency in solar power plants and sustainable use of natural resources with their projects and products, Turgut Çağatay, General Manager of Robsys Robotic Systems, said: “Kalyon Karapınar Solar Power Plant, which is established in Türkiye’s only desert land and has an area of approximately 20 million square meters, Karapınar Solar Power Plant is the size of 2,600 football fields. When the power plant is completed, it is planned to meet the domestic electricity needs of 2 million people and prevent 1.5 million tons of carbon emissions annually.

The total installed power of the power plant, which will have 3.5 million solar panels, will be 1,350 MW. This project makes a significant contribution to our country by increasing the share of solar energy in renewable energy by 20 per cent. It is a great source of pride for us to take part in this valuable project and contribute to a cleaner, sustainable future. “We will continue our work for a more sustainable world,” he said.
