Robsys Robotic Systems General Manager Turgut Çağatay emphasizes that solar plants that are not regularly maintained and cleaned will eventually stop producing energy and lead to financial losses. Regular maintenance and cleaning can increase the energy production efficiency of solar power plants by at least 30%. Robsys continues to develop products aimed at maximizing solar power plant energy efficiency, improving sustainability, and reducing energy losses to zero.
Turgut Çağatay underlines that the company’s technologies are aimed at increasing efficiency and ensuring the sustainable use of natural resources in solar power plants. He also highlights that not cleaning the panels leads to pollution accumulation, which eventually stops energy production. “For example, a solar plant with 1 MW of capacity, left uncleaned for several months, can experience energy loss between 5% and 30%. This results in financial losses of between 100,000 and 300,000 TL. Depending on the project’s size, these losses can reach millions of TL. Robsys Robotic Systems continues to provide the most effective solutions by considering all these factors,” he explained.
The frequency of solar power plant maintenance and cleaning can be scheduled daily, weekly, or monthly based on the level of pollution, according to Çağatay. “Maximizing the return on large investments in solar power plants and preventing energy loss is only possible through regular cleaning. Cleaning must be done as soon as the plant begins to lose energy, which is critical. The frequency of cleaning should be determined by the company’s efficiency goals, energy expectations, and atmospheric conditions. In concrete plants, cleaning must be done before the concrete hardens, while in non-sticky dust environments, cleaning can be done monthly. Although there is no definitive rule for the timing of cleaning, companies can quickly analyze this need. The environmental conditions where the plant is located are crucial factors affecting cleaning frequency. If the plant is near an industrial area or a cement factory, the pollution rate will increase, so cleaning should be more frequent. As a general rule, projects that constantly get dirty should be cleaned weekly, while moderately dirty projects can be cleaned monthly,” he added.
Çağatay emphasizes that Robsys is the only company in the sector providing 24/7 technical support: “We provide solutions to spare part needs within two days and offer on-site technical support for major problems, which we ensure is provided within five working days. With our ongoing and strong R&D efforts, we continuously improve. All of our production and software processes are carried out in-house. This allows us to create custom solutions for every site. With our newly developed systems that facilitate maintenance, we also simplify plant management. As a result, we are the only company
